Catfish anglers, you’ll love Lyman Lake. Channel catfish are biting on worms and stink baits. Fishing for catfish this summer is your best bet at catching anything on Lyman Lake.
However, a few anglers are reporting a some hits on largemouth bass. Try crankbaits, spinners and spoons.

Luna Lake fishing is fair at best. The lake is down about a foot and a half but the boat ramp is still accessible.
A few anglers have reported catching some trout on spinners, Power Bait and worms.
For best results: Get out in early morning and head over to the dam. Shore anglers seem to be having decent luck over at the dam as well. Use yellow or gold spinners or spoons.

Fishing at Carnero Lake is good this summer as long as you can get out into open warter.
Anglers are reporting problems with the weeds saying that it’s difficult to get out into open water. Especially, those in a float tube are having difficulty. The weeds along the shoreline are thick and a challenge to maneuver. As the summer progresses, the weeds will become more and more of a problem for anglers.
Carnero Lake is an artificial lure and fly lake. It also requiring barbless hooks with a 2 trout limit. Carnero Lake is open to electric trolling motors only.
Spin anglers are using small lures like spinners and spoons with some success.
Fly anglers are using wooly worms, peacock ladies, and small nymphs to catch decent sized trout.

The road is open at Willow Springs Lake and the lake is full. The boat launch accessible and Willow Springs Lake allows only electric trolling motors and/or 10 hp gas motors.
The lake has been stocked with nice sized trout and anglers are catching them on lures. Trout have also been active at the surface down to 15 feet. Try worms, power bait and salmon eggs on a small hook. For lures try z-rays, spinners and rapalas. For flies try wooly worms, wooly bugers, peacock ladies and prince nymphs.
For best results try trolling with a lure.

Woods Canyon is stocked weekly with catchable size rainbow trout.
Anglers are catching hold-over trout around 1.5 pounds. The trout have also been active at the surface down to 10 feet. Try worms, power bait, and salmon eggs. For lures try spinners like z-rays, super dupers and small spoons. For fly fishing try wooly buggers, peacock ladies, and nymphs.
For best results try blown up worms fishing from the bottom. Trolling with a KastMaster or Panther Martin is working as well.

Anglers are catching their limits out at Bear Canyon Lake. It was just stocked last week and fishing is pretty good.
Bear Canyon Lake is a hike-in only lake. The trail down to the lake is short but steep and winding. Keep this in mind for the way back up after a day of fishing.
The lake is best accessed with float tubes and other small carry-in water craft. However, there is good shore fishing access.
Try worms, power bait, salmon eggs. You can also try lures like spinners, z-rays and super dupers. For fly fishing use wooly worms, wooly buggers, peacock ladies, and zug bugs.
For best results try a yellow Rooster Tail, Berkley Gulp or a silver spoon.
This lake is open to electric trolling motors only.

Lower Lake Mary in the Flagstaff area is the trout catching hot spot of the season. A total of 28,000 trout have been stocked into this lake.
For best results try 1/8 - 1/4 oz spoons or power bait.
The bite was on and off but when it was on it was strong.
Reports saying that one angler caught 7 trout in 4 hours.

Reports are saying that the Monkey hole area is getting bites of stripers. Try crank baits.
Trout are stocked every Friday and shore fishing is really good right after the stocking. Try spinners, spoons, or power bait on a hook.

The trout season kicks off on the 15th.
With fish stockings taking place every 2 weeks through March at urban fishing lakes and ponds, the fishing is expected to be good to great this season.
For best results use scented dough balls like Power Bait, worms, or small trout lures like spinners and spoons.
Bluegill are currently biting and reports are saying the action is good. Try meal worms, corn, or dough balls with a small bobber.
Catfish action is fair. Use hot dogs, stink bait, dough balls and shrimp. Catfish stocking has stopped for the winter and will resume in the spring.

November 15, trout season officially begins.
To get ready AZ Game and Fish will be stocking all urban fishing areas in Phoenix and Tucson with 11 to 12 inch trout. Each area will get 80 to 100 trout per lake acre. Fish will be stocked every 2 weeks for the next 4 months.
Prepare your tackle for the up coming trout season:
- small spinners
- small spoons
- scented dough balls
- worms
- salmon eggs
- 2 to 6 pound line
- small hooks (size 10)
- small weights
Daily bag limits for urban fishing lakes is 4 per licensed person and 2 for unlicensed kids under age 14. At urban fishing ponds the limit is 2 per licensed person and 1 for unlicensed kids under 14.
